Ten local residents are arraigned in Schuylkill

Ten local residents were arraigned Monday morning before District Attorney Karen Byrnes Noon at the Schuylkill County Courthouse on criminal charges and all entered pleas of not guilty and requested trial by jury. They were:

• Angel Anthony Resto, 21, of 62 Hunter Street, Tamaqua, charged by Corporal Henry Woods, Tamaqua Police, with rape of child, unlawful contact or communication with minor, statutory sexual assault of person between eight and 11 years old, indecent assault of person under 13 years of age, corruption of minors and indecent exposure.• Joseph J. Forster, 35, of 307 Market Street, Tamaqua, charged by Sgt. Duane Frederick, Rush Township Police, with DUI (driving under the influence) of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia last August 9 when stopped on Plaza Drive.• Alyssa Bensinger, 25, of 25 Hunter Street, Tamaqua, charged by Patrolman Corey Herring, Rush Township Police, with simple assault and retail theft of clothing from store of Julie Barracato at the Hometown Farmer's Market on June 5.• Richard Paul Galgoci, 61, of 544 East Railroad Street, Nesquehoning, charged by Patrolman Adam Sinton, Rush Township Police, with DUI (driving under the influence) of alcohol Claremont Avenue last May 5.• Danielle M. Fulton, 25, of 235 Brown Street, Tamaqua, charged by Patrolman Anthony Stanell, Tamaqua Police, with theft of a purse belonging to Shannon Hoben while she was at the Citizens Fire Company building last June 13, and the theft of $50.• Fungai Michael Mugwidri, of 233 Race Street, Tamaqua, charged by Patrolman Karl Harig, Tamaqua Police, with three counts of terroristic threats and four counts of simple assault.• Owen M. Berezwick, 39, of 7 South Fifth Street, Barnesville, charged by Patrolman James Patterson, McAdoo Police, with DUI of alcohol last May 13 on Route 309, failing to have rear lights working an failing to drive on right side of road.• Richard C. Frick, 58, of 240 East Broad Street, Apartment 4, Tamaqua, charged by Patrolman Anthony Stanell, Tamaqua Police, with delivery of marijuana to a confidential informer on East Broad Street last March 19, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of cell phone and possession of a small amount of marijuana. Frick was also charged by Chief Richard Weaver, Tamaqua police, with delivery of marijuana to a confidential informer last April 17 in the 200 block on East Broad Street, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of cell phone, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a small amount of marijuana. And Frick was also charged by Patrolman Thomas Rodgers, Tamaqua Police, with delivery of a controlled substance in the 200 block on East Broad Street last May 2, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of cell phone and possession of 30 grams of marijuana.• Michael David Connor, 24, of 215 East Railroad Street, Nesquehoning, charged by Corporal Henry Woods, Tamaqua Police, with possession of drug paraphernalia at his apartment on Arlington Street last August 26.• Jamie R. Roman, Hazleton, charged by Sgt. Duane Frederick, Rush Township Police, with retail theft.• Brian S. Fritz, 37, of 335 Hazle Street, Tamaqua, charged by patrolman Joseph Krebs, Coaldale Police, with DUI of alcohol last May 11.
