A Tamaqua man was picked up on a warrant out of Carbon County on Dec. 7.
Officers were assisting animal control and code enforcement personnel that day when they came in contact with Robert Macharsky of 425 N. Railroad St., Tamaqua. Once back at the police station, officers noted an active warrant for Macharsky's arrest, issued by Lehighton Police. As officers went back to the Railroad Street home, they observed the suspect walking in the area of the Family Dollar Store.He was detained and later transferred to the custody of Lehighton Police.
