Lehighton police are investigating a two-car crash that took place at about 7 o'clock this morning at the intersection of routes 443 and 209 in Lehighton. Beth Rapp of Palmerton was driving a 2011 Kia Sportage across the McCall bridge toward Lehighton when she could not stop and slid into a 2006 Jeep driven by Joe Warnagiris of Hazleton. Rapp said she pumped her brakes, but the car would not stop. Both cars were damaged and towed from the scene.
