The Salvation Army helps many in-need families, using its Red Kettle collections to do so. The Lions is an international organization also involved in helping those in need. On the local level, several

members of the Western Pocono Lions Club helped the Salvation Army man the kettle at Kinsley's Shop Rite Market in Brodheadsville as compassionate shoppers helped fill the red kettle. Among Lions donating their time to receive donations for the Salvation Army were Linda and Jeff Hinton of Saylorsburg.
