Police seek clues in 2007 hunting murder

Police are looking for the public's help to solve a six-year-old murder that happened on the first day of hunting season.

Between 9-10 a.m. Dec. 4, 2007, Lee Vanluvender was murdered on Hypsy Gap Road in Tunkhannock Township, Monroe County. His body was found in the parking area next to the one-lane bridge.Police said Vanluvender, 22, of Bartonsville, was driving a gold colored Jeep Cherokee with oversized tires.Anyone who was hunting in this area near this date and time or, anyone with information, is asked to call Detective Richard W. Luthcke at the Monroe County District Attorney's Office at 570-517-3052.Or call the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department at 570-895-2400.The family of Lee Vanluvender is offering a monetary reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who committed this homicide.
