Three sent to prison for parole violation

Three defendants serving parole/probation sentences had their release revoked and jail terms imposed by Carbon County judges.

The adult probation office filed petitions to revoke them from their current supervision for violating the conditions of their release.Michael Graham, 30, of White Haven, had his parole revoked on a driving under the influence charge by Judge Steven R. Serfass and was resentenced to serve the balance of his maximum term which runs to Dec. 12, 2016. However, he was released from the prison to enter a inpatient rehabilitation program. Failure to successfully complete the program will result in Graham returning to the prison to serve out the maximum term.Allen Miller, 21, of Walnutport, had his probation revoked on theft and possession of drug paraphnalia charges on petition filed by probation officer Joseph J. Berke. He violated his probation by being arrested by Slatington police on July 31.He was remanded to the county prison by President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II to serve six to 12 months effective Oct. 24.Marquise Granger, 20, of New Philadelphia, had his probation revoked on charges of simple assault and criminal mischief by Serfass on petition of Berke.Serfass resentenced him to serive six to 12 months in the county prison effective Oct. 16.
