Boy Scout Troop 98 clothing drive

Boy Scout Troop 98 is conducting a clothing drive collection from noon until 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 17.

A truck and a table set up will be next to the main entrance of Brodheadsville Self Storage, which is located at the end of Jena Drive, directly across from Pleasant Valley High School on Route 115.There will be signs directing people to the location that day.This clothing drive will help to defray the cost of taking 13 Scouts on a high adventure trek to Maine next summer.If someone has items, including bikes, they want to donate and can't get them to the drive, please contact Doug Atherton at 570-730-0758 or Mr. Herrmann at 570-730-0653. They will try to arrange pick up of larger loads.All items must be in good usable condition. Clothing: Men's, women's and children's usable and wearable clothing and shoes for all seasons and all sizes.Accessories: Pocketbooks, belts, baby accessories, backpacks, hats, scarves, briefcases, gloves, ties and handbags.Household goods and blankets, tablecloths, bed sheets, drapery, curtains, pillows, towels, small rugs, quilts, comforter, pots and pans.Toys including hard toys, soft toys and activity sets such as Beanie Babies, rag dolls, stuffed animals, action figures, cars, trucks, airplanes, doll houses, dolls, outdoor bicycles of any size. Hard toys should fit a box 24 inches by 24 inches.They are not collecting VCR tapes, CDs, books, oversized play sets or outdoor play sets, car seats or workout/exercise equipment.
