Defendants have probations/paroles revoked

Numerous defendants on either probation or parole, had their release revoked by county judges on petitions filed by the Carbon County Adult Probation Department.

Those who had their probation/parole revoked included:Ryan Howard, 30, of Lehighton, had his probation revoked on petition filed by probation officer Kimberly Cooper on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. He violated the terms of his release by testing positive for marijuana and opiates and admitted taking non-prescribed morphine and vicodin.Judge Steven R. Serfass resentenced him to serve 45 days to 12 months in the county prison effect Sept. 20.Kevin Tansley, 26, of Palmerton, had his parole revoked on petition of Cooper on a charge of theft by unlawful taking for violating conditions of failing to report as directed to the probation office, failure to submit to a urine screen, he associated with other individuals on supervision, has not obtained a mental health evaluation, and violated zero tolerance provision.Judge Joseph J. Matika recommitted Tansley to the county prsion to serve 90 days effective Oct. 18.Corey Scherer, 21, of Kunkletown, had his probation/parole revoked in four cases on petition of Cooper on charges including access device fraud, receiving stolen property, and criminal trespass.Matika recommitted him to the county prison to serve out his maximum which runs to July 13, 2014, followed by a year of probation. He would be eligible for parole to a inpatient rehabilitation program, if available.Courtney Hoffert, 24, of Palmerton, had probation revoked on petition of Cooper on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia for violating conditions of failing to report as directed to the probation office and failure to submit to a urine screen.Hoffert was resentenced by Matika to serve 140 to 280 days in the county prison.Keith Else, 31, of Parryville, had his probation revoked on petition of Cooper on a charge of simple assault for failure to pay court costs.He was resentenced by Matika to serve three to six months in prison effective Feb. 3, 2014. However, if he pays his outstanding balance of $710 in full by that date the prison term will be vacated.Clark Johnson, 36, Palmerton, had his parole revoked on petition of Cooper on a charge of driving under the influence, for violations of not paying court costs, not completing required drug and alcohol treatment, and not completing 25 hours of community service.Matika resentenced him to serve three months back-time in the county prison effective Feb. 3, 2014. However, if he completes the alcohol highway safety program, required D&A treatment, 25 hours of community service, and pays his costs of $675 in full by that date the prison term will be vacated.James Smiley, 41, of Palmerton, had his parole/probation revoked on petition of Cooper on a charge of recklessly endangering another person, and criminal mischief for violating conditions by failing to report to the probation office, arrested by Franklin Township police on June 5, tested positive for amphetamine, and failed to submit to a urine screen.Serfass resentenced him to serve 49 days (time served) and serve an addition two years of probation plus added conditions to his parole.Jason Bender, 26, of Palmerton, was revoked from the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program on petition of Cooper for violating the condition of being arrested by Palmerton police on new criminal counts.His case was placed on the next available trial list.Erick Mack, 32, of Lansford, had his probation revoked on petition filed by probation officer Clifford Eckhart on charge of DUI, for violating conditions of being charged with new criminal offenses.President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II recommitted Mack to the county prison to serve 105 days.Adam Coleman, 25, of Lansford, had his parole revoked on petition of Eckhart on a charge of DUI for violations conditions of absconded from his approved residence and whereabouts were unknown, failed to submit to scheduled drug screens, failed to make an effort to pay court costs, failed to attend and complete alcohol highway safety program, failed to attend and complete D&A treatment, and failed to perform 25 hours of community service.Matika resentenced him to serve 79 days backtiime in the county prison effective Oct. 18.Paula Damario, 24, of Lansford, had her probation revoked on petition of Eckhart on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana for violating conditions of failing to report to the probation office as directed, failing to submit to a random drug screen, and violating the zero tolerance provision.Matkia resentenced her to serve two and a half to six months in the county prison with credit for 61 days already spent in jail.Moises Flores, 20, of Nesquehoning, was revoked from the ARD program on petition of Eckhart on a charge of receiving stolen property, for violating conditions by being charged with a new criminal offense, repeatedly testing positive for marijuana, and failing to engage in D&A treatment.His case was placed on the next trial list by Matika.Taylor Shramko, 21, of Bethlehem, was revoked from the ARD program on petition of probation officer Matthew J. Kimmel on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana, for violating condition of failing to complete a D&A treatment and community service work.Matika revoked the ARD effective Jan. 31, 2014. However, if the defendant completes D&A treatment, and completes 50 hours of community service, the revocation order will be vacated.Tanya Mack, 41, of Slatedale, had her ARD revoked on petition of Kimmel on a charge of identity theft for violating conditions of failing to complete community service and paying court costs.Matika revoked Mack effective Jan. 31, 2014. However, if Mack comletes the 50 hours of community service, and pay of all court costs by that date the revocation order will be vacated.Andy W. Silva-Gonzales, 20, of York, had his parole revoked on petition of Kimmel on a charge of escape for violating conditions of failing to complete community service work.Matika resentenced him to serve 50 days back-time in the county prison effective from Sept. 25.Joseph Roscioli, 32, of Summit Hill, had his parole revoked on petition of Eckhart on a charge of involuntary manslaughter for violating conditions of testing positive for alcohol and violating the zero tolerance provision.Matika resentenced him to serve the balance of his maximum in the county jail which runs to Dec. 8. He was granted work release privileges.Other revocationsOther defendants who had their release revoked with new court orders issued as follows:Marie Bibicoff, 42, of Albrightsville, had her probation revoked by Nanovic and resentenced to serve three to six months in jail beginning March 3, 2014. However she can avoid the jail term by paying in full costs of $4,807.57 by that date.Frank Helmer, 56, of Jim Thorpe, had his parole revoked by Nanovic and ordered to serve three months back-time in the county jail beginning March 3, 2014. However, if he pays $1,600 in costs by that date the order is vacated.Michael Graham, 30, of White Haven, had his parole revoked by Serfass and ordered to serve the balance of his prison term which runs to Dec. 12, 2016. The order states he would be paroled to enter a inpatient rehabilitation program and must successfully complete it.Jacob Heydt, 24, of Weissport, was revoked from the ARD program by Serfass with the case placed on the pretrial list.Joseph Crossley, 35, of Schnecksville, had his parole revoked by Nanovic and resentenced to the county prison to serve 50 days "street time" effective Oct. 15.Gregory Macalush, 22, of Lansford, had his probation revoked by Serfass and resentenced to to serve 60 days to six months in the county prison effective Oct. 13.Bryan Baker, 27, Weatherly, had his parole revoked by Nanovic and was resentenced to serve 90 days "street time" effective Aug. 2.Ronald Ventura, 27, of Albrightsville, had his parole revoked by Nanovic and resentenced to serve 90 days "street time" effective July 27.Tory Schlier, 19, of Weatherly, had his parole revoked by Nanovic and resentenced to serve 90 days "street time" effective Sept. 17.Doug Ahner, 50, of Jim Thorpe, had his probation revoked by Serfass and was resentenced to serve 30 days to six months in prison effective Oct. 2.Amanda Reed, 32, of Jim Thorpe, had her parole revoked by Matika and was resentenced to serve out her maximum term which runs to Dec. 21.George Kulkusky, 45, of Hazleton, had his parole revoked by Matika and was resentenced to serve 30 days in prison effective Oct. 9.Michael Maguschak, 25, of Beaver Meadows, had his parole revoked by Serfass and resentenced to serve 90 days "street time" effective Sept. 26.Roseann Crissy, 56, of Jim Thorpe, had her probation revoked by Nanovic and was resentenced to serve 30 days to six months in jail effective Oct. 7.Harley Paluch, 21, of White Haven, was revoked from the ARD program by Matika effective Feb. 3, 2014. However, if he completes his alcohol highway safety program, obtains a comprehensive alcohol assessment and follow all recommendations, and completes 50 hours of community service by that date the revocation order will be vacated.
