At Slatington's regular meeting of council held Monday evening, Robin Schmall of Slatington said that she's been having severe issues with M.F. Ronca and Sons Inc. since Sept. 23. She said that sewer water has been coming out of her pipes and that raw sewage went into her family room in her basement because workers forgot to cap the line to her home.

Ronca sent a cleaning crew to clean the basement carpet, but since there has still been flooding problems, two sinkholes formed in Schmall's front yard and the basement has been deemed uninhabitable due to bacteria from the sewage. Ted Stevenson, of Spotts, Stevens and McCoy, said that he has a construction meeting with Ronca on Wednesday morning and that he will talk to them then.
