Carbon Election Board prepares for election

The Carbon County Election Board put the finishing touches on preparations for the upcoming general election.

On Thursday, the board voted to appoint 48 registered electors to serve as precinct election officials who will be filling vacancies in a number of districts.The following Carbon County residents will serve as precinct election officials on Nov. 5:• Banks Township: Fourth - Pattie Moro, judge of elections.• East Penn Township: South - Linda Bierman, minority inspector.• Franklin Township: Independent - Dennis Bauchspies, judge of elections; Harrity - Brenda Eckley, judge of elections.• Jim Thorpe: First - Amanda Freeby, judge of elections; Patti Jo Blum, clerk; Second - Darlene Mosteller, clerk; Third - Karen Lauth, judge of elections; Fourth - Erin Rae Joseph, judge of elections; Philip Mangum, clerk.• Kidder Township: South - Debra Prontnicki, judge of elections; Laurie Harris, minority inspector.• Lansford: East - James Rickert, judge of elections; Middle - David Spence, judge of elections; West - Carly Rickert, judge of elections; Kathleen Gieniec, majority inspector; Brenda Chasarik, minority inspector; Adrienne Vasiliou, clerk; Amy Erbe, clerk.• Lehighton: First - Wendy Wentz, judge of elections; Audrey Redline, minority inspector; Second - Kamara Wentz, judge of elections; Ferne Berger, majority inspector; Jean Mertz, minority inspector; Third - Connie Solt, judge of elections; Janet Defilippis, minority inspector.• Lower Towamening Township: North - Paul M. Of that total, 18,640 are Democrats; 14,520 are Republicans; 2,673 are no affiliation; 965 are Independents; 238 are Libertarians; and 1,500 are other parties.
