A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

The Batter's Box Sports Bar & Grille Inc., 10 E. Lehigh St., Summit Hill, was cited for use, or permitted to be used on the inside of licensed premises, a loudspeaker or similar device whereby the sound of music or other entertainment, or the advertisement thereof, could be heard beyond the licensee's property line. The offense occurred on Aug. 30-31.This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
