Several area residents were among 15 defendants who entered guilty pleas in Schuylkill County court and where sentenced by Judge John E. Domalakes as follows:

Roosevelt Warden, 45, of 400 N. Pine St., Tamaqua, pleaded guilty to robbery at knife point on street in front of Freddy's Pub, Tamaqua, was sentenced to serve three to six years in a state correctional facility with credit of serving 346 days in the county prison and pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA). Warden was cited by Cpl. Henry Woods.Michael David Hannock, 37, of 94 Grier Avenue, Barnesville, pleaded guilty to stalking Brenda Hanlon with seven cell phone calls and defiant trespass on property at 93 Lowe Street, Mahanoy Township, was sentenced to serve four days to 23 months in the county prison and since he served the minimum was released on parole, and pay $50 to CJEA. Hannock was cited by Trooper Joseph H. Cazonie.Paula Shistel, 22, of 91 Orchard Road, Barnesville, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance in Mahanoy City and was sentenced to serve 96 days to 12 months in the county prison. Since she served the minimum was released on parole, and ordered to pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to CJEA, perform 10 hours community service, make restitution of $176 to Bethlehem Regional Lab for drug tests, and $50 to district attorney for bench warrant issued when she failed to appear before a magisterial district judge for a preliminary hearing.On a charge of possession of a drug paraphernalia received a concurrent 12 months probation sentence. Shistel was cited by Cpl. Michael Dissinger.John Antonio Gomez, 27, of 301 W. Broad St., Apt. 6, Tamaqua, pleaded guilty to possession of a small amount of marijuana was placed on probation for 30 days, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab for drug test, and $50 to district attorney for bench warrant. Gomez was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Karl Harig.Francine Patricia Brestowski, 41, of Sheppton, East Union Township, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and was placed in the Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP) to serve five years, fined $1,500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $200 to Catastrophe fund, attend alcohol highway safety school, continue with counseling, perform 20 hours of community service, driver's license suspended 18 months and when restored install an ignition interlock on steering wheel of car to monitor alcohol intake by driver. She was cited by Trooper Joseph Aponick when stopped on SR4033 in North Union Township.Jacob Alexander Bynon, last known address 305 E. Patterson St., Lansford, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a counterfeit substance in Tamaqua, was sentenced to serve 24 months on probation, pay $200 to SAE fund, $100 to CJEA, make restitution of $226 to Bethlehem Regional Lab, and $200 to Tamaqua police. He was cited by borough police for making two sales of heroin for $100 each to a confidential informant (CI) in the area of Laurel St.Michael Beltrami, 28, West Hazleton, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia on Cottage Avenue, near the Swatara Street iron steps, Tamaqua, was placed on probation for 12 months with the sentence to begin at the expiration of a probation sentence he now serving imposed last April by Judge Jacqueline Russell for possession of a controlled substance, pay $100 to SAE fund, and $50 to CJEA. He was cited by Patrolman Karl Harig.Raymond Acker Sr., 54, Pottsville, pleaded guilty to burglary of as safe, guns and jewelry from 53 Front St., Saint Clair, and was sentenced to serve 27 to 54 months in a state correctional facility with credit for serving 297 days in the county prison, pay $50 to CJEA, and make restitution of $13,209.02 to Thomas Johnson, the victim. He was cited by borough police.He also pleaded guilty to receiving a wheelbarrow belonging to Thomas Biddle, 622 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, and received a concurrent sentence of nine to 18 months. On a second receiving stolen property charge from 825 Market Square, Pottsville, received a concurrent sentence of 12 to 24 months and pay an additional $100 to CJEA. He was cited by Saint Clair and Pottsville police.Toni Ann Chester, 28, Shenandoah, formerly of Ringtown, pleaded guilty to retail theft from Redner's Warehouse Market, Shenandoah, and was sentenced to serve 10 to 25 days in the county prison with the sentence to begin at the expiration of a six to 23 months sentence imposed last March. She also was ordered to make restitution of $37.63 to the store.Jaxson Raymond Detweiler, 20, Schuylkill Haven, pleaded guilty to three counts of delivery of a controlled substance in Minersville and was sentenced to serve six to 23 months in the county prison, pay $300 to SAE fund, $150 to CJEA, and make restitution of $339 to Bethlehem Regional Lab . He was cited by the county and Minersville drug task force.Michael Aaron Fickinger, 19, Ashland, pleaded guilty to access device fraud of a bank machine in Ashland and theft and was sentenced to serve 168 days to 23 months in the county prison and since he has served the minimum was granted immediate parole, pay $50 to CJEA, and make restitution of $572.33 to M&T Bank, Ashland. He was cited by Chief Adam Bernodi Jr.Dennis Hopkins, 22, Shenandoah, pleaded guilty to access device fraud of a credit card found in a mini mart belonging to Joy Zimmerman, Shenandoah, and theft by making purchases on the card, was sentenced to serve 148 days to 23 months in the county prison and since he served the minimum was released on parole and make restitution of $223.36 to the victim.On a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was sentenced to serve an additional 12 months on probation. On a charge of simple assault for engaged in fighting in the 300 block on South West Street received a concurrent sentence of 23 months probation. He also must pay $150 to CJEA. Hopkins was cited by Shenandoah police.Sherise Morrison, 31, Pottsville, pleaded guilty to assault by a prisoner but mentally ill when she assaulted another prisoner in the county prison was sentenced to serve 307 days to 23 months in the county prison and since she served the minimum was released on parole, and pay $50 to CJEA. She was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Brian J. Reno.Brenda Lynn Shappell, 34, Minersville, pleaded guilty to retail theft from Wal-Mart Store in Saint Clair and was sentenced to serve three to 23 months in the county prison, pay $50 to CJEA, and make restitution of $41.78 to Wal-Mart. Shappell was cited by Patrolman Robert J. Leskin.Dominic Franco Borelli, 21, Pottsville, pleaded guilty to harassment and was sentenced to pay a fine of $100 and $50 to CJEA. He was cited by Trooper Michael V. Ryan in Deer Park Drive, Norwegian Township.Each defendant sentenced to a county term must also pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
