The Tamaqua High School Class of 1948 held its 65th anniversary reunion at La Dolce Casa, Tamaqua, on Sept. 14.

A total of 30 class members and 12 guests were in attendance.The Rev. Donald Smith provided the invocation. Grace Krapf Sakusky conducted the business session and provided classmates with after dinner mint favors.John Swabey traveled home from South Dakota to attend his first ever reunion.Emma Best Vlcek and her husband, Joe, provided each guest with a special bottle of wine.Committee members included Bob Betz, John Isganitis, Kaye Leiby, treasurer Grace Krapf Sakusky, Gladys Hoffman Sakusky, Jeanette Follweiler Cappos, Emma Best Vlcek and secretary Phyllis Becker.The class voted to have a picnic reunion in 2014.
