Must serve time to day, hours, minute, seconds

A Schuylkill County judge sentenced a defendant, who pleaded guilty to criminal charges, to spend up to the minute and seconds a sentence imposed which placed her under house arrest with electronic surveillance.

Anique Julie Whitehurst, 31, Danville, was sentenced by Judge John E. Domalakes on a charge of driving while her operating privileges were suspended,to serve 89 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds. On a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol to serve a consecutive sentence of 72 hours to six months under house arrest. Her confinement at her home begins Sunday, Oct. 20.She also must pay fines of $2,000, $300 to the Substance Abuse Education fund, $50 to MCARE fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center for lab work, a $50 monthly supervision fee, and her driver's license is suspended 12 months. On a summary charge of of driving an unregistered vehicle was fined $25 plus $50 costs.Whitehurst was cited by Trooper Thomas Hornug when stopped on SR61 in North Mannheim Township last Nov. 23.
