Country music star Vince Gill was pretty impressive the way he handled a situation at a concert in Kansas City, recently.

Protesters from the Westboro Baptist Church (not part of any other Baptist affiliation) picketed outside his concert about him being remarried. The Westboro Baptist Church is the same group which often has protests at military funerals.In Gill's case, the story goes, they were drawing attention to the fact that he is divorced and now married to singer-songwriter Amy Grant. He was married to Janis Oliver of Sweethearts of the Rodeo from 1980 until 1998. Grant was married to singer-songwriter Gary Chapman from 1982 until 1999. Gill and Grant have now been married for 13 years.During the encounter outside the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, Gill talked to the protesters as he walked outside the concert venue."Vince Gill, what in the world are you doing out here?" a woman asked."I just came to see what hate looked like," he replied.There was an exchange between Gill and the protesters.Gill kept his composure during the exchange, although at one point, he said to one of the protesters, "I've seen you on TV, man. You're a big dip-s***. You know that, don't you?"The soft-spoken singer, whose hits include "I Still Believe In You" and "When I Call Your Name," is coming back to Penn's Peak.He's slated to appear in concert on Friday, Feb. 21, at 8 p.m. Tickets, at $49 and $54, go on sale to the public Saturday at 10 a.m. They have gone on sale to Penn's Peak Sneak Peak Club members.Gill's concert is one of three new shows announced yesterday for the venue.Christmas With the Celts will have a debut on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 8 p.m. Tickets for this concert, which are $22 and $27, also go on sale on Saturday.Bruce in the

The show centers on a tribute to singer Bruce Springsteen.The next concert at Penn's Peak is a performance by country star Josh Turner on Sept. 26. Opening will be Ayla Brown.Turner's number one songs include "Would You Go With Me," "Why Don't We Just Dance," and "Long Black Train."The following evening, Friday, Sept. 27, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band returns to the mountain-top auditorium.
