Tamaqua woman gets long term probation for DUI count

A Tamaqua woman, who was found guilty by a jury last June 4 of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol following a trial in Schuylkill County court, was sentenced by Judge James P Goodman after he receiving a pre-trial report on any past record.

Crystal Fegley, 33, of 109 Lafayette St., was placed for five years in the Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP) with a minimum of 24 months to be subject to the standard conditions of the program and the balance of the five year sentence to be served subject to the standard conditions set by the state.The court directed she serve a period of long term residential drug and alcohol treatment with the length to be determined by the treatment staff, serve the balance of one year's mandatory minimum sentence on electronic surveillance and pay a $12 daily fee, and also pay costs of prosecution.Fegley was also fined $1,500, must pay $100 to the Substance Abuse Education fund, $200 to the Catastrophe fund, a $50 monthly supervision fee, attend the alcohol highway safety school, perform 40 hours of community service, her driver's license is suspended for 18 months and when restored for 12 months must install an ignition interlock on the steering wheel of her vehicle which monitors any alcohol intake by the driver.She was also found guilty by Goodman of two stop sign violations and was fined $50 plus $100 costs. Fegley was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Brent Getz, when stopped last Nov. 4 in the 200 block on N. Greenwood St.
