A woman was injured after a triaxle rear-ended the truck she was a passenger in yesterday afternoon along SR54 near Pine Creek Drive in Rush Township. Police reported that the incident occurred during the passing of an oversized load traveling east on SR54. The triaxle truck is owned by TROPP Excavating and Paving Company of Pottsville. Responding in addition to Rush and Ryan Township Police were Tamaqua Rescue, Quakake Fire Company, Ryan Township Ambulance, Tamaqua Ambulance, Hometown Fire Company and Ryan Township Fire Company. Hometown Fire Police controlled traffic around the area. No more information was available as of press time.
