The Carbon County Housing Authority heard bids Wednesday for the Palmer House, a 50-unit project for the elderly in Palmerton.

The total of low bids for all phases of the project was $1,848,300.Other business included an approval of an annual contributions contract for an acquisition and rehabilitation project in Jim Thorpe and Lehighton.The project will provide for the acquisition of property and rehabilitation of homes for 20 families in the Lehighton area and 10 families in Jim Thorpe.
