Phil Lesh, a founding member of the Grateful Dead Band, is the next performer on the grand stage of Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

The concert will be held Wednesday, July 24.Lesh played bass guitar with the Grateful Dead throughout their 30 year career.Ticket sales are brisk for this concert and there exists a good possibility it could be a sellout.After the band's disbanding in 1995, Lesh continued the tradition of Grateful Dead family music with a side project, Phil Lesh and Friends, which paid homage to the Dead's music by playing their originals, common covers, and the songs of the members of his band.Phil & Friends helped keep a legitimate entity for the band's music to continue.Recently, Lesh has opened a music venue called Terrapin Crossroads, and has been performing with Furthur alongside another former Grateful Dead bandmate Bob Weir.A day after Lesh performs, Old Crow Medicine Show with Chuck Mead and His Grassy Knoll Boys will be putting on a concert.After going on hiatus and losing a key band member, Old Crow Medicine Show came back strong in 2012 with Carry Me Back, a high octane, old-timey sounding record that boasts some of the band's best songwriting to date.2012 also saw new life for the band's ubiquitous Americana anthem "Wagon Wheel," with Darius Rucker's version of the tune reaching No. 1 on the Billboard country charts.Hoping to ride the momentum of that feat, Old Crow decided to cobble together a 3-song EP and ship it to country radio."On the heel's of Darius Rucker's success with 'Wagon Wheel,' we thought maybe there's a chance country radio will finally spin Old Crow, so the EP really started as a promo thing," said singer-fiddler Ketch Secor. "But we knew our fans would love the bonus songs, too, so we put together a sharp package and put it out for all - kind of a thank you to our fans for all the love and support on the last tour. "The three song EP features a cover of the Alabama classic "Dixieland Delight."
