Nakea Beers of Lehighton has been named to the dean's list at East Stroudsburg University for the spring semester of 2013. She attained a 3.6 GPA.

She is a senior majoring in elementary education and is president of the Contemporary Dancers at ESU.Nakea is a 2010 graduate of Lehighton Area High School and is the daughter of Tracey Beers and Dwain Gable of Lehighton and Craig and Ruth Beers of Breinigsville. She is the granddaughter of Jeanette and Bob Strausberger of Palmerton and Barbara and Darrell Beers of Walnutport.
