The Zombies will be performing at Penn's Peak tomorrow night

You might remember the 60s hits "Times of the Season," "She's Not There," and "Tell Her No."

They were hits by the British band, The Zombies. The Zombies, featuring Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent, will be making an appearance at Penn's Peak tomorrow night at 8 p.m. Tickets are $27."Last year," says Blunstone, "we played in the UK, US, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Holland, Japan and the Philippines. It was incredible."This year, the band has a new live album, three separate American tours in it (not to mention a festival in Central Park, a cruise with the Moody Blues and much more) and the group are constantly in demand for the prestigious US network television music shows, interviews and radio sessions.Their records have become some of the best produced and distinctive in all of pop music. From their debut "She's Not There" to their final single "Time Of The Season," The Zombies will keep you movin'.Ironically enough, they only released two albums in the 60's, but those two albums were full of amazing hits. Their second album, Odessey & Oracle, was recorded in 1967 right before they split up, but it remains one of their greatest artistic statements. Odessey & Oracle, and yes that is how they spelled Odessey due to the cover artist famously misspelling it.After The Zombies break up, Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent pursued solo careers. They both met with huge success on the solo front, but agreed to rejoin forces after a 30 year hiatus. They did not immediately call themselves The Zombies though. Rod was resisting that urge in order to respect the band's legacy. Finally in 2004, they released a new album, As Far As I Can See…, under the name The Zombies. After listening to the tracks, Rod and Colin realized something, "When we played the first mixes back, Colin and I were surprised to hear many resonances of our first band on the record, because they weren't achieved consciously."Another oldies show comes to Penn's Peak next Thursday when the Happy Toget Tour features the Turtles, Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night, Gary Puckett & the Union Gap, Mark Lindsay, former lead singer of Paul Revere and the Raiders, and Gary Lewis and the Playboys.Upcoming concerts to the Peak include country singers Josh Turner and Chris Cagle, rocker Ted Nugent, Grateful Dead member Phil Lesh, pop singers America, and a music icon Gordon Lightfoot.ScheduleConcertsJune• 20 - The Zombies, 8 p.m. Tickets $22 advance, $27 day of show.• 27 - Happy Together Tour 2013 - The Turtles with Flo & Eddie; Chuck Negron, formerly of Three Dog Night; Gary Puckett & the Union Gap; Mark Lindsay, former lead singer of Paul Revere & the Raiders, and Gary Lewis & the Playboys, 8 p.m. Tickets $39 and $44.• 28 - Tesla, 8 p.m. Tickets $29 advance, $34 day of show.July• 7 - Doobie Brothers, 8 p.m. Tickets $62 PIT (standing room only at stage) and $52 regular seating.• 12 - 7 Bridges, The Ultimate Eagles Experience, 8 p.m. Tickets $17 advance, $22 day of show.• 13 - Raymond the Amish Comic with guest comedian Chipps Cooney (show contains adult language), 8 p.m. Tickets $15 advance, $20 day of show.• 14 - Arrival, the music of Abba, 8 p.m. Tickets $27 and $22.• 24 - Phil Lesh & Friends, 8 p.m. Tickets $54 advance, $59 day of show.• 25 - Old Crow Medicine Show with Chuck Mead & His Grassy Knoll Boys, 8 p.m. Tickets $25 advance, $30 day of show.• 27 and 28 - Wine on the Mountain.August• 2 - Yonder Mountain String Band, 8 p.m. Tickets $17 advance, $22 day of show.• 14 - Ted Nugent with Laura Wilde, 8 p.m. Tickets $34 advance, $39 day of show.• 23 - Big Night Out featuring Hoobastank, Lit, and Alien Ant Farm, 8 p.m. Tickets $25 advance, $30 day of show.September• 6 - Live Wire, 8 p.m. Tickets $17 advance, $22 day of show.• 26 - Josh Turner with Ayla Brown, 8 p.m. Tickets $37 and $42.October• 4 - Chris Cagle, 8 p.m. Tickets $24 and $29.• 26 - Gordon Lightfoot's "50 Years on the Carefree Highway Tour," 8 p.m. Tickets $42 and $37.November• 2 - America, 8 p.m. Tickets $35 and $40.Deck PartiesJune• 21 - Becky and the Beasts, 6:30-9 p.m.• 29 - The Large Flowerheads, 6:30-9 p.m.July• 3 - Becky and the Beasts, 6:30-9 p.m.• 5 - Craig Thatcher Band, 6:30-9 p.m.• 6 - Daisy Jug Band, 6:30-9 p.m.• 11 - Olde Friends - 6:30-9 p.m.• 18 - Friar's Point Band, 6:30-9 p.m.• 19 - Ric Toole Band, 6:30-9 p.m.• 26 - Free Range Folk, 6:30-9 p.m.August• 1 - Jack Kaligis and the New Constitution, 6:30-9 p.m.• 4 - Richie Molinaro and Mr. Lou, 6:30-9 p.m.• 8 - Nightwind, 6:30-9 p.m.• 9 - Craig Thatcher Band, 6:30-9 p.m.• 15 - Billy Bauer Band, 6:30-9 p.m.• 22 - Steal Your Face Band, 6:30-9 p.m.• 25 - Coal County Express, 2-5 p.m.Luncheon shows(Reservations required)• Sept. 17, 18 & 19 - The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra.
