State police at Lehighton reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers.

A two vehicle crash occurred about 4:45 p.m. on May 30 at the intersection of SR115 and Meixell Valley Road, in Ross Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Marianne Nichols, 51, of Kunkletown, was stopped for a stop sign eastbound on Meixell Valley Road while Charles M. Cucchiara, 27, of Blakeslee, was southbound on 115.Nichols failed to yield the right-of-way to Cucchiara and attempted a left turn. The right front of Cucchiara's 1999 GMC Sierra struck the left side of Nichols' 2003 Chrysler Town & Country van.After impact the Chrysler traveled onto the east berm and struck a bus stop building with its right side. Nicholas, her passenger, Jillian Nichols, 13, and Cucchiara, were injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, by West End ambulance.Troopers cited Nichols for stop signs and yield signs.A crash involving a motorcyclist was reported on June 5 about 7:25 a.m. along Lower Smith Gap Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Kyle S. Benscoter, 20, of Walnutport, was operating a 2008 Harley-Davidson Sportster eastbound when a deer entered the road directly in his path. The bike struck the deer with Benscoter and the bike going down to the ground.The bike slid about 100 feet before coming to rest. Benscoter was injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, by Lehighton ambulance.A two vehicle accident occurred about 7:08 p.m. on June 6 along Gun Club Road at Forest Inn Road in Lower Towamensing Township. Troopers said Sharon L. Villa, 51, of Lehighton, was driving a 2007 Ford Edge northbound on Forest Inn Road and made a left turn to go westbound on Gun Club Road. Cody M. Peters, 17, of Palmerton, was operating a 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier eastbound on Gun Club Road and attempting to make a right turn onto Forest Inn. Villa made the left turn too short crossing into Peters' lane of travel and a collision occurred.No one was injured. Troopers noted two citations were filed against Villa.A one vehicle crash was reported about 4:15 p.m. on Friday, June 7, along SR248 in Bowmanstown. Troopers said Martina Puddu, 19, of Jim Thorpe, was driving a 2000 Subaru Legacy eastbound near the exit to Bowmanstown when she lost control and her vehicle and struck the guard rail on the south berm.Two passengers, Brandon D. Mangual, 17, and Ambra Puddu, 17, both of Jim Thorpe, sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Palmerton hospital by the Palmerton ambulance. Another passenger, Selena A. Francis, 18, of Albrightsville, was not injured.Troopers cited Puddu for driving too fast for conditions.A two vehicle crash occurred about 6:40 p.m. on Friday along Silver Springs Blvd., at SR209, in Polk Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Kristina Selinski, 18, of Kunkletown, was stopped at the intersection on Silver Springs and attempting to make a left turn onto 209. She pulled out and failed to notice a 2004 Honda Accord driven by Shenna Hersch, 31, of Albrightsville, who was northbound on 209. Selinski's 2001 Honda Civic and the Accord collided.Hersch sustained minor injuries, troopers said, but did not indicate if she required medical attention.A crash occurred abut 1:47 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, along Beltzville Drive, at Leisure Terrace, in Polk Township, involving a motorcycle. Troopers said William F. Warnken, 66, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2000 Harley Davidson Sportster eastbound on Beltzville Drive while Sarah E. Conklin, 18, of Palmerton, was driving a 2012 Subaru Impreza northbound on Leisure Drive. Conklin stopped for the stop sign and pulled into the intersection as Warnken was approaching.Warnken attempted to avoid the Subaru and lost control of his bike, laying it on the ground and sliding on its side before coming to final rest.Warnken was flown by medevac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment of moderate injuries, troopers said.Conklin and passengers Michael J. Destefano, 19, of Kunkletown, Joseph M. Loveless, 19, of Effort, and Amanda Destefano, 17, of Kunkletown, were all not injured.Troopers cited Conklin for duty at stop sign.
