It will now start at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond and will be going through Chestnuthill Township and will go down Merwinsburg Road.Residents should be aware of runners on the road and traffic may be stopped at some points so patience is asked. The marathon starts around 8 a.m. and should be in the Effort churches area St. John's Lutheran and Effort UMC around 10:30 a.m.Contemporary serviceEffort UMC will hold its next Contemporary Praise Service at 9:45 a.m., Sunday, May 19.Special celebrationsZion Lutheran Church, Brodheadsville, will celebrate Pentecost on Sunday, May 19, as well as Confirmation and the last day of Sunday School.
