Vehicle stop leads to wanted person

A vehicle stop led to the arrest of a wanted person.

State police at Lehighton said a vehicle was stopped about 8:43 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, along SR209 in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, for a traffic violation.At the stop a passenger in the car, Lawney L. Strohl, 44, of Lehighton, was found to have multiple warrants for his arrest including theft. He was also found to have in his possession marijuana and drug paraphernalia.He was taken into custody and placed in the county prison in Nesquehoning on the outstanding warrants. Drug charges are pending against him.
