Successful blood drive
Miller-Keystone Blood Center's Palmerton community blood drive on April 22 drew 75 potential donors and yielded 71 units of blood. "Walk-ins" helped with the total. There were three first-time donors. This visit was sponsored by Kyle, Erica and Jonah Ahner.The following donors reached gallon levels: Garry Mack, nine gallons; Jane Cervenak, seven gallons; Carol Andrews (at PHS) and Susan Parisi, four gallons each; William Hayes, Charles Hinkle, Mildred Kistler, and Brian Wanamaker, three gallons each, and Roger Smith, one gallon.The following volunteers assisted in one or more ways: Pam Andrews, George Ashman, Mary Beth Beers, Romaine Biege, Harry Brown, Jane Cervenak,: Honey" Cyr, Diane Danielson, Thomasine Falcone, Rita Goidich, Shirley Greene, Jean Halmi, Anita Harry, Betty Hartman, "Biff" Hayes, Cindy Heimbach, Anastasia Hinkle, Marian Hoffner, Bernice Kleintop, Nancy Kresge, Paula Lendvay, Helen Nonnemaker, Darlene Nothstein, Richard Nothstein, Susan Olivia, Carol Papay, Evelyn Plechavy, Marge Porambo, Lucille Rex, Gwen Rodrigues, Terri Sebelin, Betty Steigerwalt, Mary Taschler, Annette Wargo, Tara Wargo, Brenda Wentz, and Joan Wivell.More volunteers are needed. This is a pictorial print competition. Class B is for beginners. Class A is for advanced or winners from Class B in previous salons.There will be black and white and color categories in each class.
