April 5, 1993 Pleasant Valley opens its Centennial League track season by posting sweeps of Palmerton and East Stroudsburg. Mark Serfass captures the 800 and 1600 against both schools while Pete Lee claims the long and triple jumps. The Bears, coached by Woody Metzger, receive three wins from Dawn Slattery (shot, discus, javelin) in the girls meet. PV also gets multiple wins from Melanie Judkins (300 hurdles, triple jump) and Becky Hazen (long and high jumps).
