Ted Larizzio was all smiles after it was announced he is the grand prize winner of the 2013 TIMES NEWS Cookbook and Recipe Contest.

Larizzio's recipe for Teriyaki Glazed Chicken Tenders impressed this year's judges, who were unanimous in their decision.This was the first time Larizzio, who lives in Jim Thorpe, entered the annual cookbook contest.While Larizzio was the winner of the Main Dish category, other category winners included Kellie Kromer, Lehighton, in the Soups, Stews and Chili category; Genevieve Laubach, Lehighton, in the Vegetarian category; Kathy Goff, Jim Thorpe, in the Breads, Biscuits and Muffins category; Kerry Uher, Coaldale, in the Christmas Cookie category; and Harry Procina in the Dessert category.Over 90 recipes were submitted for this year's contest.Be sure to pick up a copy of the TIMES NEWS April 11 for your copy of the 26th edition of the annual TIMES NEWS Recipes From Our Readers and a story about Larizzio and all our contest winners.
