Woman with Coaldale ties accused of stealing $642,000

A Bucks County woman with Coaldale connections has been charged with stealing $642,000 from the ambulance association for which she worked.

Danette Marie Lewchick, 56, of Jamison, was arrested Monday by Warrington Township police on charges of stealing the money over four years from Warrington Community Ambulance. Lewchick was the nonprofit organization's financial secretary.She remains in Bucks County Prison under $250,000 percentage bail, set by District Judge Jean Seaman. Lewchick would have to post $25,000 to be released from jail.She is charged with Deal In Procuring Unlawful Act/Intent To Promote; Knowledge That Property Is Proceeds of Illegal Act; Theft By Unlaw Taking Movable Property; Theft By Deception False Impression; Theft By Deception Prevent Acquisition Of Information; Theft By Deception Fail To Correct; Forgery Alter Writing; Forgery Unauthorized Act In Writing; Forgery Utters Forged Writing; Receiving Stolen Property; and Computer Trespass Altering Data.All of the charges are dated to have occurred as of Jan. 1, 2008. She married Kenneth Lewchick, formerly of Coaldale, in 2009. He is the father of Warrington Ambulance's board chairwoman.According to published reports, Lewchick's attorney, Jeffrey Solar, has said she has a "severe gambling addiction." Lewchick, according to published reports, became financial secretary of the ambulance organization in 2008. In 2005, she had filed for bankruptcy because she was $400,000 in debt. The debt included $40,000 she owed to casinos in Atlantic City.Lewchick has also used the names Danette Faulstick and Danette Albanese.
