Woman faces charges for taking Lansford man's car

Rebekah Foulke, 34, of 3125 Moravian Ave., Allentown, faces charges from an incident which took place between Jan. 25 and Feb. 4 at 100 E. Front St., Lansford. A charge of unauthorized use of an automobile were filed by Officer Jason Helmer.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, here's what happened:Helmer was on duty when he spoke on the phone call with Joseph Delpero about his vehicle. Delpero said he had reported on Jan. 27 and 28 that his vehicle had not been returned and was still gone. Foulke had borrowed the vehicle, a red 1996 Ford Probe GT, owned solely by Delpero, on Jan. 25 to drive to Gilbertsville to pick up her child. Delpero later learned she never arrived there. She never responded to his calls and texts. He sent her a message that if the car wasn't returned by 4 p.m. Jan. 27, he would call police.All attempts to reach Foulke, including her mother and the Allentown Police Department, were exhausted. During a conversation with Foulke's mother, police learned it was not unusual for Foulke to vanish for lengthy periods of time without contacting anyone. It was also reported that Foulke has a history of substance abuse.Attempts to contact Foulke at her last known phone number have been unsuccessful.
