A McAdoo man was one of six defendants who had their parole or probation revoked after hearings held in Schuylkill County court.

Michael Jay Brodie, 27, of 123 W. Blaine St., had his probation revoked by Judge Charles M. Miller and was re-sentenced on a charge of terroristic threats to serve one to two years in a state correctional facility with credit for serving 124 days in the county prison.He had entered a guilty plea terrorizing Renee Keefers, of the McAdoo address, and was placed on probation 18 months but the probation was revoked when he failed to report a new arrest last December by McAdoo Officer Homanko, who charged him with resisting arrest, disordelry conduct, and public drunkenness.Robert Dean Steffie Jr., 42, Tremont, had his parole revoked by Miller and he was remanded to the county prison to serve the balance of his sentence with credit for serving 135 days. His new maximum date for release is Feb. 23, 2014.His parole was revoked because he failed to report a new arrest by Schuylkill Haven Sgt. Robert Phillips, who charged him with criminal trespass on private property, and public drunkenness. He had pleaded guilty last September to unauthorized use of a vehicle and received credit for serving 188 days in prison and was released on parole for 23 months.Joseph Jarrad Guzick, 23, Port Carbon, had his probation revoked by Miller and he was re-sentenced to serve four to 12 months in the county prison with credit for serving 22 days and must obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommended treatment.His probation was revoked because he failed to make any payments for restitution. Guzick had pleaded guilty to simple assault on James McGuinness, Pottsville, to whom he owes $7,857 in restitution and had been placed on probation.Scott Lee Sargent, 28, Pottsville, had his probation revoked by Senior Judge D. Michael Stine and he was re-sentenced on a charge of burglary to serve one to two years in a state correctional facilty and received credit for serving 56 days in the county prison. He had violated his probation by failing to report a change of address and of a new arrest. He had pleaded guilty to burglary of the Town Drug Pharmacy, Pottsville.Angel Nichole Christ, 22, Port Carbon, had her probation revoked by Stine and she was recommitted to the county prison to serve her original sentence of three to 23 months for delivery of a controlled substance in Minersville and her 197 days of liberty disallowed and added to his sentence which extended her maximum date for release as Sept. 12, 2013.Ryan Conner, 31, Frackville, had his probation revoked by Stine and he was re-sentenced on a charge of criminal use of commercial facility to serve eight to 20 months in the county prison with credit for serving 65 days and must submit to mental health and drug evaluation and successfully complete any recommended treatment.The conditions of his probation he violated were, failed to report to his probation officer, failed to receive permission to change his address, failed to abstain from use of illegal drugs, failed random drug tests, and failed to make payments on his court costs.
