Jim Thorpe students ace the ACE competition

Eight eighth grade middle school teams competed in the 24th Annual Acadmic Challenge Eighth Competition at Catasauqua Middle School from February 25 through 27.

The top winning team was Jim Thorpe, followed by Tamaqua and then Palmerton. Panther Valley won fourth place.Competion was tight as the last day drew near. But Jim Thorpe came in the lead with Maggie Holloway bringing her team into the finish line.The eight teams competing were Lehighton, Northwestern Lehigh, Panther Valley, Northern Lehigh, Tamaqua, Palmerton, Jim Thorpe, and Catasauqua.
