Mahoning Township police are investigating a fire shortly before 6 p.m. Friday which destroyed a house trailer in a very remote area. Fire companies from Mahoning Valley and Lehighton were dispatched to a structure fire along a dirt lane just north of Orioles Drive. When firefighters arrived on scene they found the building set back in an area thick with heavy brush fully involved in flames.
