A domestic incident has led to charges being filed against a Monroe County resident.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 12:09 a.m. on Feb. 16 they responded to 227 Summit Drive, Albrightsville, for a report of a domestic incident.On scene they were told by Lauren Java, 25, that she was assaulted by her boyfriend, identified as Edwin Sanchez-Cappabianca, 28, at their residence.Police noted Java had sustained injuries including scratch marks, redness and bruising on her chest, back and abdomen. Sanchez-Cappabianca left the scene prior to the arrival of officers.Police filed charges of simple assault and harassment against Sanchez-Cappabianca.
