The Tamaqua Area Adult Day Care Center has a number of activities planned for the month of March, including a visit from the St. Jerome's kindergarten class on March 27.Other special days next month include: March 1, foot doctor visit; March 4, cooking class; March 6, bulletin board; March 7, bingo; March 13, craft day; March 15, sing a long with Audrey Christ; March 19, baking day; March 20, Salvation Army service; March 21, monthly birthday party; March 22, movie day; March 25, Easter craft day; March 28, dye Easter eggs.In addition to weekly sing-alongs and social games, hair styling and manicure services are available. Both require advance notice.Daily activities include exercise, reality orientation, motivational and reminiscent therapy, as well as breakfast, lunch and a snack.Anyone interested in obtaining more information about the center and its services may call (570) 668-6577.Art showThe Tamaqua Community Arts Center will host an art show featuring the work of Joseph Evanousky of Barnesville. A meet and greet reception will be held from 6-9 p.m. this Friday, March 1.There is no admission fee and the public is welcome to attend.Using charcoal as his medium, the artist's work depicts the daily struggle and will to survive of the coal miner. Confessions will be heard at 7:30 a.m., followed by a Recitation of the rosary and Devotions before the 8 a.m. Mass.Members of the parish Holy Rosary Society will attend the 8 a.m. Mass on March 3 and receive Holy Communion as a group.A rosary will be said before the Mass.Stations of the Cross are held Wednesdays at 7 p.m., with Holy Hour, recitation of the rosary and confessions beginning at 6 p.m. A Holy Hour and confessions are also held Saturdays from 4-5 p.m.The choir rehearses Wednesdays after Stations of the Cross.
