Schuylkill crashes

State police at Frackville reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roadways.

A one-vehicle crash was reported at 4:45 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, along Interstate 81 in West Mahanoy Township. Troopers said Paul D. Snyder Jr., 35, of Hamburg, was driving a 2004 Dodge Dakota southbound when he passed over ice on a bridge. He lost control of the pickup truck which veered to the right and struck the bridge wall.Snyder was not injured.A two-vehicle crash occurred about 12:05 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24, along Spencer St., in West Mahanoy Township. Troopers said John R. Marino, 31, of Stillwater, Columbia County, was driving a 1998 Subaru Outback westbound when he failed to negotiate a left curve. His vehicle struck a 2010 Dodge Avenger legally parked along the street.Marino was not injured. He was cited for driving at an (un) safe speed.A one-vehicle crash occurred about 1:49 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, along Summer Valley Road (SR895), in East Brunswick Township. Troopers said Julie A. Bailey, 47, of Harrisburg, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Express 1500 westbound when she exited a slight curve. The vehicle went onto the right shoulder where the passsenger side front tire and undercarriage made impact with a dirt embankment. The vehicle traveled about 180 feet south along the embankment where it spun clockwise while it re-entered the road.The vehicle came to rest blocking both lanes of 895.Bailey was not injured. She was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
