Cub Scouts from Clark Summit tour KME

Mark Kopunek, sales manager at Kovatch Mobile Equipment in Nesquehoning, was in charge of a tour by Cub Scout Pack 160 from Clark Summit as they are studying Fire Safety Month.

The scouts had their local fire company do a presentation recently and the Kovatch company was kind enough to show the boys and adults the makings of a fire truck from start to finish. They saw how a fire truck is designed through means of the engineers drafting a design on their computers. They then went to the place where it all starts and after an hour saw the finished product.Kopunek told the scouts that they just got an order for 91 fire trucks for New York City. He said they are always looking for good help and are hiring for their plants. At the end the scouts got a look at the finished police vehicles getting ready for delivery. Each boy received a souvenier of their visit.

As members of Cub Scout Pack 160 of Clark Summit tour the KME facilities in Nesquehoning, Cub Scout John Paul Shields enjoys sitting in a soon to be delivered Colorado fire truck under the watchful eye of KME sales manager Mark Kopunek.
