A Danielsville man will be cited as a result of a one-vehicle accident at 2 p.m. Feb. 19 on Route 209 in Walker Township.

State police at the Frackville barracks said Ruben A. Giraud Torres, 20, was injured in the crash but will face a traffic violation.Police said he was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Express northbound on Route 209, about three-quarters of a mile south of Tamaqua Borough, when he lost control of it on the snow-covered roadway and the vehicle began to fishtail. Police said it spun about 225 degrees counter-clockwise and slid backwards across both lanes and the southbound shoulder, at which time its right rear corner impacted a guide rail. The vehicle then spun about 225 degrees counter-clockwise and its front right corner then impacted a guide rail.Police said the vehicle was towed from the scene.
