Beltzville Lions will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, March 4. This is a "Bring-A-Friend," meeting and all members are encouraged to bring a friend.Lehighton Crime WatchLehighton Crime Watch will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26 at the Lehighton Area High School. Commissioner Wayne Nothstein will present the topic "Carbon County Prosecution Procedures."Trinity happeningsTrinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, will hold the second Sunday in Lent Service of the Word at 9 a.m. The Rev. Donald Hayn, interim pastor, presides. Coffee fellowship follows.Sunday School Power Hour begins at 10:15 a.m. for ages 3 through adult.Midweek Wednesday worship opportunities are available through March 20. Noon worship is followed by a soup lunch. Each Wednesday evening there will be a soup supper at 6 p.m. then "Holden Evening Prayer" worship at 7 p.m. Immediately following the 7 p.m. worship is a Lenten study based on the movie "Chocolat," reflecting on issues of grace, forgiveness and transformation.Looking ahead to Saturday, March 9, at 7 p.m. "Coffeehouse of Hope,", an evening with the Trinity Praise Band featuring vocalists Brain Hoffner and Becky McFadden.All financial gifts will be given to "Dylan & Gavin's Rainbow" ministry. Established by the Krum family of Lehighton, this ministry has been created to offer support to families when a child faces a serious illness or condition, and also offers support in the event of the death of a child.A Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held in Luther Hall Saturday, March 23 for children ages 1-6, from 1-2 p.m.; and for children ages 7-12, from 2-3 p.m. Those planning to attend should contact the church office at (610) 377-4303 to register your child's age. Registration deadline is March 15. This is a free event. Those attending should bring a basket to collect the eggs.A Spring Cantata, "Here is Love," will be performed by the church choir accompanied by a small orchestra, under the direction of Susan Lovejoy, on Saturday, March 23, at 3 p.m. at the church.
