Tomorrow night, Bret Michaels, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Rick Springfield, and M. C. Hammer all will be at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

Well, not really.But it will seem that way.On the vast, open stage of the venue will be "Jessie's Girl," a band which plays 80s music and has costumes like many of the bands they represent. It will be like being in the audience of the aforementioned performers.This is the first appearance by Jessie's Girl, which consists of four former members of the group Rubix Kube.Opening for Jessie's Girl is Hugo, who front's the Journey tribute band Voyage. Hugo has a keen likeness to Steve Perry, who was Journey's lead singer.Sky, who is the keyboard player for Jessie's Girl, explained that the four had left Rubix Kube because of internal band problems.They discovered Jenna, their lead singer who Sky, who he feels is "one of the best singers in New York."Sky said he can't wait to bring Jessie's Girl to Penn's Peak. He's been at the venue four times with Rubix Kube. It was Penn's Peak where he made his professional music debut.He stressed that Jessie's Girl isn't the same as Rubix Kube. It's bigger. The band has a larger repertoire. It has more costume changes. It is more theatrical."Some have told us our show looks like MTV live," Sky said.He said this past weekend, the band did a ZZ Top number and couldn't believe the positive response of the audience. "It feels like we're doing almost borderline theater," he remarked.There is audience interaction. One such portion of the show is "Addicted to Love," a Robert Palmer hit. At many of the shows, audience members come dressed like the video characters of this tune, wearing tight black dresses and having their hair in buns. These girls are called on stage during the performance of the number.Jessie's Girl is based at the Canal Room in New York City. The Canal Room has a regular show called "Back to the 80s."Rubix Kube played at the Canal Room for many years.Asked how they got the name Jessie's girl, Jenna said, "We went back and forth and came up with a gajillion ideas. We narrowed it down to this being the coolest one."Sky said the band changes its show weekly, although there are some staples in it.The band's Web site says some of the songs you might hear are "Come On Eileen," "Working for the Weekend," "99 Red Balloons," "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," and, of course, "Jessie's Girl.""We're coming out with everything we've got," said Sky, regarding the Penn's Peak show. "We are ecstatic about coming to Penn's Peak."Jenna said while Sky has been here four times, this is her first visit."I've heard so much about Penn's Peak I can't wait to get there," she said.Jessie's Girl will be at Penn's Peak at 8 p.m. Friday. The opening act is Hugo, who fronts Voyage, the musical tribute to the band Journey. Tickets are $22 the night of the concert.
