No one was hurt in a two-vehicle mishap at 2:10 p.m. Feb. 19 on the SR309 connection, about 443 feet west of the Haddock Road, in Kline Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at the Frackville barracks said the accident happened when vehicles operated by Jason Rintamaki, 40, of Jim Thorpe, and Grace E. Knotek, 21, of Allentown, were both traveling east. Police said Rintamaki was driving a 1997 GMC in the left lane when he attempted to change lanes and lost control of the vehicle. Police said Knotek was operating a 2001 Nissan Maxima in the right lane and was about two vehicle lengths behind the GMC, which began to fishtail back and forth. Police said the driver was able to regain control of the vehicle, but it was struck by the Maxima.Police said Rintamaki will be cited for causing the accident.
