A woman was taken to the Lehighton hospital today around 615 a.m. following a two vehicle accident that occurred along an ice-covered Lake Drive near the SR54 intersection in Lake Hauto. Responding were Rush Township police, firefighters from Hometown and Quakake and ambulances from Tamaqua, Lehighton and Nesquehoning. The other driver was not injured. No more information was available as of press time.
