Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department observed a Toyota Corolla driving on Old Route 940 on at 10:10 a.m. on Feb. 7 without a Pennsylvania inspection sticker.

Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver was identified as Matthew McCarthy, 27, of Blakeslee by his Pa. driver's identification card.Police ran a wants and warrant check on McCarthy which revealed an active warrant from PMRPD. The warrant was for simple assault and harassment.McCarthy was arrested without incident. He was taken before Judge Claypool and arraigned on the charges. He was released on own recognizance.
