President Obama, I'm quite sure that all members of this small law firm, and particularly the staff, will think of you and thank you several times a day for the privilege of assisting in increasing their healthcare premiums so dramatically to fund the cost of healthcare for those who do not pay premiums for themselves.Our small business surveys the marketplace each year to try to find the best healthcare at the most affordable rates for all staff and participants who need healthcare coverage. This year the premiums for the very same policy that covered participants last year did not go up 1.87 percent (roughly the rate of inflation), nor did they go up 11.87 percent (roughly 10 times the rate of inflation). Instead, they skyrocketed 187 percent (roughly 100 times the rate of inflation).The firm and staff who are covered by healthcare share the expenses of coverage (similar to a great majority of other businesses wanting to offer healthcare to their staff members). Thank you, Mr. Obama, and certain members of Congress, for providing the wonderful "Affordable Healthcare Law." Surely, all those involved in this small business, particularly the hard-working staff, appreciate your noble efforts.Charles W.
