State police at Fogelsville reported on two crashes probed by troopers on Lehigh County roads, and both occurring on Monday, Feb. 4.

A crash occurred about 7:09 a.m. along Interstate 78 in Upper Macungie Township. Troopers said Shannon J. Mauro, 41, of New Tripoli, was eastbound in the right lane when Leonard L. Scheetz, 46, of Walnutport, driving a 2012 Peterbilt truck, attempted to pass in the left lane. As Scheetz attempted to pass his truck traveled into the right lane and struck Mauro's 2013 Mazda CX-5 on the driver's side door.No one was injured but the Mazda had to be towed from the scene. Troopers cited Scheetz for driving on roadways laned for traffic.The second crash occurred about 10:17 a.m. along SR222 in Lower Macungie Township. Troopers said Judith E. Urquizo, 51, of Allentown, was stopped for a red light at the intersection with Interstate 78, when her 2001 Honda Civic was struck in the rear by a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu operated by Gladys J. Santee, 86, of Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County.Urquizo complained of neck pain and was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Santee and her passenger, Nancy A. Erdman, 79, of Allentown, were not injured.Troopers said Santee was cited for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.
