A New Ringgold man has been charged by Rush Township police following a vehicle stop on Jan. 17.

Edward M. Matalavage, 36, allegedly altered the registration plate on the vehicle he was driving. The vehicle also displayed a counterfeit inspection sticker when officers stopped it on Plaza Drive.Matalavage was charged with two counts of altering/forging/counterfeiting documents and license plates.
