Palmerton Community News
Trick or Treat
Trick or Treat night will be held in the Palmerton and Bowmanstown boroughs from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30.
Residents wishing to participate in this fun event are asked to have their porch lights on during those hours.
Miller-Keystone Blood Center will conduct its next bimonthly community blood drive from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Friday at the First United Church of Christ, Delaware Avenue.
This visit is sponsored by Holly and Robert Sell, and Leon George II. This area is blessed with many faithful donors who appear at nearly every blood drive. However, since there are always some who are away or ill, or who are unable to donate because of medical conditions, there is always a need for additional donors.
To donate, you must be at least 17 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in general good health. If you are a first-time Miller donor, please bring photo ID, such as a driver's license. Previous Miller donors, should bring their Miller cards.
For directions, or to make an appointment, call George Ashman at 610-826-2097 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Donors with appointments are given priority at registration, but walk-ins are also welcome.
