The Meals on Wheels program in Palmerton needs more volunteers to make deliveries. Drivers use their own vehicles to take meals to clients living in a specific route. Deliveries are made from the Palmerton Hospital, with delivery time from about 10:45-11:45 a.m., Monday through Friday.
The volunteers take the meal from the car to the client. It requires just one hour a week. Those who cannot commit for a certain day each week may be willing to substitute as needed.
To volunteer, or for more information, call Richard Bowman, coordinator, at 610-826-1163, or Darlene Nothstein, president, at 610-826-7339.

New Jersey Zinc at Heritage Center
The current feature at the Heritage Center, 410 Delaware Ave., is an exhibit of New Jersey Zinc Company memorabilia. Many of the photographs have never before been seen by the public, and the artifacts show how a highly technical business was operated. The center is open Wednesday through Saturday each week, and admission is free. Phone 610-824-6954 for a recording giving the times each day when the center is staffed by volunteers. It may be open at other times and on other days. If the door is unlocked, please walk in.
