Rush Township police have charged Matthew Hummel, 31, of Frackville, with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamines following a traffic stop on Oct. 19. The incident took place at 12:47 a.m. on Claremont Avenue.

Hummel was transported to a Pottsville hospital for blood work, which indicated the presence of heroin and methamphetamine in his system.
