Marian, Wreckers breeze

Weatherly and Marian picked up non-league baseball victories on Wednesday.

Moravian Academy-Weatherly

Weatherly rolled to a commanding 16-1 non-conference win over visiting Moravian Academy.

Kevin Hinkle led the Wreckers with a double, triple, three runs scored and two RBIs, while Vinny McCroy added two singles and a RBI.

Robbie Hinkle chipped in with a double, two runs scored, four RBIs and two walks for the Wreckers (2-16 overall), while Michael Baade recorded a double, three runs scored and two RBIs.

Marian-MMI Prep

Marian used three solid innings to run away with a 10-0 victory in five innings over MMI Prep.

Mike Cataldo sparked the Colts with two singles, a double, a run scored and four RBIs, while Pete Baddick added two singles, two runs scored and a RBI. Teammate Frank Nietz (two singles, a run scored) and Luke Stawick two singles, RBI) contributed to the win.

The Preppers' Trevor Hall and Alec Andes recorded the lone hits off of the Colts' pitcher Nick Kweder, who earned the pitching victory.

Marian finishes the regular season with a 12-8 overall record.
