Steckel and Stopp honors retiree

On April 19, the Law Firm of Steckel and Stopp along with family members gathered at Bert's Steakhouse in Palmerton to honor a recent retiree, Kathy Kemp. Prior to her retirement, Kathy celebrated her 26th anniversary with the Firm in December, 2012 officially retiring on March 29, 2013.

Kathy began her career with the Firm in 1986. During her tenure at Steckel and Stopp Kathy completed both the Paralegal Certificate Program and earned the Elder Law Certificate at Penn State. She spent most of her career performing Estate Administration duties. She earned the title of Senior Estate Administration Paralegal and has helped to develop and maintain many of the estate administration procedures for the benefit of clients, which continue to be used by current staff.To honor Kathy, the Partners of Steckel and Stopp, Charles Stopp and Charles Waters provided entertaining comments. Waters performed a Letterman style spoof of "Top Ten Reasons Why Kathy Should Retire". Other stories were shared by Judy Hoffman, a fellow Estate Administration Paralegal and Sandra Maurer, Controller, provided a trip down memory lane with outdated office supplies used when Kathy started with the Firm.Kathy resides in Slatington. She enjoys crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, card games and day trips with friends and family.
